Vehicle classes are used to categorize vehicles based on their design, intended use, and technical characteristics. They form the basis for legal requirements, registrations, and technical specifications. Different classifications exist depending on the region and regulatory framework. In Europe, for example, many vehicles are classified according to the European Union’s vehicle classes, such as the M, N, O, or T classes.
Vehicle lighting
Vehicle lighting includes all of a vehicle’s lighting systems that are relevant for road approval. These include headlights, tail lights and turn signals, as well as additional warning lights (e.g. rotating beacons, strobes). Various regulatory frameworks, such as the ECE or DOT regulations, define the requirements for lighting systems.
