SMD LED
An SMD LED is an LED manufactured using SMD technology. It is designed for direct mounting onto the surface of a printed circuit board and therefore, unlike a through-hole LED, does not require lead wires for through-hole mounting.
SMD LEDs are available in numerous designs and power ratings and are used, amongst other things, in vehicle and work lighting.
However, the SMD design alone does not provide any indication of an LED’s luminous flux, efficiency or quality. These characteristics depend on the specific LED, its construction and the operating conditions.
