Perfect light in poor visibility

Perfect light in poor visibility

You don’t only need headlights at night. Visibility can also be massively restricted in fog or heavy precipitation and you are literally driving into the unknown. But the remedy is quite simple: good headlights!

In addition to a good low beam and a far-reaching high beam, there are also special headlamps. And these are additional fog lights. These are mounted below the normal driving lights, usually in the bumper or below it.

This means that the light cone starts further down and shines below the fog, so to speak. The result is a significant increase in visibility.

By the way, on many vehicles additional fog lights also fulfil the role of cornering lights. Here, too, you can benefit from the fast response times of modern LED lighting.
