Why inspected goods are no accident – and what retailers can do

published on 15. April 2026

When people buy products, they expect one thing above all else: that they work. In practice, however, this isn’t always a given—especially when components come from different sources. As a distributor, we operate right at this intersection. And this is precisely where our advantage lies, one we consciously leverage: We inspect every item before it reaches you.

Traditionally, manufacturers provide the quality, and retailers handle the logistics. In reality, however, quality assurance does not end with the manufacturer.

Precisely because we bundle, inspect, and distribute products from various manufacturers, we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to build in additional safeguards.

Our Receiving Process

Every incoming shipment undergoes a structured inspection at our facility. We use defined sampling methods to:

  • verify functionality
  • identify visible defects
  • ensure compliance with specifications

These checks are not one-off occurrences but an integral part of our processes.

When random sampling is not sufficient

For certain products, we deliberately go a step further. Where requirements are higher or applications are more sensitive, every single unit undergoes a complete inspection. This applies primarily (but not exclusively) to all products that leave our facility, whether assembled or manufactured in-house: Here, a 100% inspection is always performed. In other words: Every product is tested individually before it is shipped.

Why this matters

For you as a customer, this means one thing above all: less uncertainty. Because even if manufacturers already perform inspections, additional assurance is provided when goods are checked again, regardless of their origin.

This reduces:

  • Failures in use
  • Unnecessary returns
  • Coordination effort in the event of a complaint

Conclusion

We see our role not merely as a supplier, but as an additional quality control body between the manufacturer and the end user. The fact that we are not a manufacturer is therefore not a disadvantage, but precisely the factor that adds value.
