Our Mission
Responsibility for people and the environment
For us at J.Führ, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a core principle. It permeates every decision, every project, and every step we take as a company. From climate protection measures and the promotion of diversity to the establishment of fair standards in the supply chain – we bear responsibility for people, the environment, and the economy.
With the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2035, we have already implemented a series of concrete measures that pave the way for a sustainable future.
Our progress in 2024
Our environmental management measures achieved visible progress in 2024:
- Increased energy efficiency: Despite slight growth in the company, energy consumption per square meter was reduced by 12% thanks to the switch to LED lighting and smart building technology.
- CO₂ emissions reduced: Our company’s total CO₂ emissions were reduced by around 26% compared to the previous year – an important step towards climate neutrality by 2035. We were able to make significant progress, particularly through optimized logistics processes, which reduced CO₂ emissions by approximately 49%.
- Sustainable packaging: In 2024, 62% of packaging waste was successfully recycled, another step towards a circular economy.
- Renewable energies: The share of renewable energies remains constant at 100%, which contributes to the reduction of the CO2footprint.
These figures prove that we are on the right track to achieving our environmental goals – with measurable successes and a clear focus on the future.
Diversity and Equal opportunities: Sustainability starts with people
A sustainable future is inconceivable without people. That is why we attach great importance to a corporate culture that promotes diversity, equality, and inclusion. Our measures:
- 44% international employees: Our workforce benefits from a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds.
- Women in leadership positions: By 2025, we want to achieve a 40% share of women in leadership positions.
- Flexibility and family-friendliness: With part-time models and flexible working hours, we support our employees in balancing their professional and private lives.
For us, these measures are not an end in themselves, but rather the basis for a working environment in which everyone can flourish—regardless of their origin, gender, or life situation. Because only together can we grow as a company and as a team.
Responsibility along the Supply Chain
Sustainability does not stop at our door. As a distributor of vehicle lighting and mounting solutions, we also bear responsibility for our suppliers. Together with our partners, we are working to improve environmental and social standards along the entire supply chain.
Our measures include:
- Supplier audits: 70% of our suppliers were audited according to environmental and social criteria in 2024.
- Commitment statements: 45% of our suppliers have committed in writing to our sustainability standards.
- Transparency and monitoring: Regular reports and audits ensure that progress remains traceable.
We know that sustainable supply chains are a long-term process. That is why we rely on partnerships based on trust and cooperation.
